VOF Arctic Circle

Arctic Circle is a young inland shipping company that transports goods across the European inland waterways. The company operates through a close collaboration between Willibrord van Waardenberg and Geo Shipping. The coupled barges together form a team that complements each other where necessary. For DP World, we transport containers from the major seaports of Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam to their own domestic terminal in Germersheim, Germany. Arctic Circle can transport a maximum of 368 TEUs over four divided layers and has twelve connections for reefer containers. For DAP Barging, we have been transporting bulk and batch loads ranging from coal to wood chips to various loading and unloading locations. With two holds measuring 80.5 x 10.1 meters and 64.3 x 10.1 meters, equipped with a removable gantry, we can also easily transport heavy goods, also known as project cargo. We do this for various clients.

Over ons

Arctic Circle exclusively operates with a skilled Dutch-speaking crew. We are a recognized training company for seamen, mates, and captains, and provide space for personal and professional development and growth. Our mates started as apprentice seamen with us, which enables them to assist and support the apprentice seamen with their schoolwork. Additionally, there is ample space and time to gain experience in steering, loading, unloading, container planning, etc., and regular safety drills are conducted. In addition to work and learning, there is also room for fun. Playing a game of soccer, swimming, or watching a movie in the wheelhouse creates a homely and warm atmosphere.
