VOF Arctic Circle
Cargo ship Arctic Circle is a young enterprise that transports freight on the European waterways. Arctic Circle operates through a close collaboration between Willibrord van Waardenberg and sister cargo ship Bermuda Triangle. The two cargo ships form a team that works together to provide a superior service to clients.
For DP World we transport containers from the larger ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam to DP World's own container terminal in Germersheim (Germany). Arctic Circle can seat up to 368 TEU, spread over four levels and offers twelve connections for reefer containers.
For DAP Barging we shipped some time bulk and batch loads, ranging from coal to wood chips, to various loading and unloading ports in Europe.
With two cargo holds (80.5 x 10.1 meters and 64.3 x 10.1 meters) and a removable roof beam, we can easily transport construction and so-called heavy cargo loads, a service we provide for several customers.
Arctic Circle sails with an expert, all-Dutch-speaking crew. We are an authorized training company for sailors, pilots and captains, providing opportunities for professional development and personal growth. Most of our sailors joined our team as sailors in-training and are therefore well equipped to support and train student sailors. Furthermore, there is opportunity to gain experience in key tasks like controlling the pilot or making a loading cargo plan. Rigorous and essential safety drills form part of our regular operations.
Alongside hard work and learning, there is also plenty of room for fun and relaxing within our team. This might be a game of football, taking a swim or watching a movie in the cockpit. We aim to make Arctic circle a warm and pleasant atmosphere in which to work. Watch our videos!
